Deputies say a man whose body was found inside a burned-out car and duplex in Corbin committed suicide.

A statement from the Laurel County Sheriff's Office says an autopsy found that 29-year-old Neil Spitzer died last Thursday of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Deputies say a gun was found in his vehicle.

Deputies were called to the scene at Spitzer's home after a meter reader reported an explosion.

The sheriff's office says the car was discovered after the house fire was put out.

Deputies say the body was found inside the vehicle.

Investigators say evidence shows that Spitzer set fire to his duplex, and then set fire to his car while he was sitting in it.
