Deputies: Laurel County Man Admitted To Killing His Wife

Deputies say a Laurel County man killed his wife, and then called 911.

The Sheriff's Office says a man called about 2:30 Wednesday morning and said he had shot his wife.

Deputies went to a home on Greenlawn Subdivision Road.

They say they found the man in the living room and the wife's body in the bedroom.

Ernest Chumbley is charged with murder.

The victim is Virginia Chumbley.

The Sheriff's Office is still looking for a motive.
