Deputies in Laurel County were sent to Dewberry Road Wednesday evening for a welfare check on a woman who was reportedly very intoxicated.
They said she was there with her two children, ages one and five.
They said when they arrived, 25-year-old Emilinia Butler admitted she had been drinking. Deputies called social services and the children were placed with other family members.
Butler has been charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Facility.
