Democratic Party Rallies, Just Days Before Election Day

Governor Steve Beshear greeted an energetic crowd at a Democratic rally as his party hopes for a possible sweep in Tuesday's election.
Riding high in the polls, Governor Steve Beshear greeted an energetic crowd at a Democratic rally as his party hopes for a possible sweep in Tuesday's election.
"People are ready for us to come together as Kentuckians," said Beshear.

The governor's visit to Lexington comes one day after a campaign stop by the republican nominee, Senator David Williams who told a crowd of supporters in Newport that he also expected a strong turnout on Tuesday.

"We feel the recent poll results internally show that we have shown that the race is moving in the right direction it all has to do with turnout now," said Williams.

Williams did not have any rallies Sunday as the candidates prepared for their final sprint of campaign appearances on Monday. Both Williams and Beshear urged their supporters to hit the polls first thing Tuesday and encourage others to join them in voting.
