Midnight Update: All of our Saturday evening storms have now weakened into light rain showers. Most areas will stay dry from now into Sunday morning.

The rain has helped cool us down slightly. Temperatures range from 68° in Danville to 76° in Morehead. Lexington has dropped to a muggy 71°.

As we head towards sunset on Saturday night, the strong storms moving through the region will continue to weaken. Until then, damaging winds and hail will be possible in the strongest storms.

By Sunday morning, most of the isolated rain showers should push into eastern Kentucky. We will start the morning with temperatures in the mid 60s.

Sunday will be a few degrees cooler! Temperatures will only climb to near 80° during the afternoon. We will see a few more scattered showers and storms during the day, but the activity won't be as widespread as it was Saturday evening. Also, no widespread severe weather is expected.

Cooler and drier air will work into the region for Monday. After a couple isolated showers in eastern Kentucky, we will see mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 70s.
