There was an arraignment hearing Thursday in Paris for the man accused of fatally hitting a man in the head with a hatchet.
Police say Daniel Carter hit Christopher Mitchell with a hatchet during a fight Tuesday night.
The Fayette County Coroner says Mitchell died at UK Hospital yesterday.
Carter was accused of assault.
He pleaded not guilty.
