Danville Named One Of The South's Top Business Towns

Jody Lassiter, president and CEO of the Danville-Boyle County Economic Development Partnership said he's thrilled about the ranking.
Danville has been named one of the "Ten Wonderful Small Town Central Business Districts in the South" by Southern Business & Development magazine.

Bardstown was also on the list that included Sumter, S.C; Bradenton, Fla.; Columbus, Miss.; Harrisonburg, Va.; Stuart, Fla.; El Dorado, Ark.; Bastrop, Texas; and Georgetown, Texas.

Jody Lassiter, president and CEO of the Danville-Boyle County Economic Development Partnership said he's thrilled about the ranking and Heart of Danville executive director Bethany Rogers said the ranking highlights the character and economic vitality of the downtown area.

Rogers went on to say being recognized by the magazine "is not just an opportunity for the business community to take notice, but also for those of us who live here to step back and appreciate how dynamic our community is."
