"Dangerous" Road For Bicyclists

After a bicyclist from Baltimore was killed on Cincinnati Road in Sadieville, neighbors along the road are questioning its safety.
She was on a ride to raise money for the Ulman Cancer Fund; a fundraiser for young people with cancer.

24-year-old Jamie Peters, from Baltimore, was struck by a pickup on Cincinnati Road in Sadieville Friday afternoon after she and four other cyclists stopped off on the side of the road to do some maintenance on their bikes.

Another cyclist was hit, but wasn't seriously hurt.

Mike Western, who lives along Cincinnati said the road is extremely dangerous.

"We have incidents that occur all the time. I've recovered automotive wrecks out here. I've pulled people out of vehicles from here," said Western.

Ulman Cancer Fund CEO Brock Yetso did release a statement:
"We, and all of our 4k for Cancer riders, will carry Jamie's memory with us in our hearts as we continue serving the mission that Jamie cared so deeply about."
