ABC 36's own Tom Kenny and Christine Winter were among the  hundreds of people at Saturday's Dancing with the Lexington Stars' fundraiser.

The Rotary Club hosts the event to support Surgery On Sunday, an organization that performs free procedures on those who wouldn't be able to get the care otherwise.

Twelve couples, and plenty of familiar faces, practiced for several weeks to compete for the mirror ball.

In the end, the big turnout will make a world of difference for people in need of medical surgeries.  The event raised about $70,000 for Surgery On Sunday.

Dancing partners John Carloftis and Linda Roach took home the first-place mirror ball trophy.
