Criminal Summons Served In Animal Cruelty Case

Frankfort police have served a criminal summons in an animal cruelty investigation.

The summons was served on Teka Russell, 38, of Frankfort in a second degree animal cruelty case.

The complaint accuses Russell in part of committing the offense of second degree animal cruelty. The summons accuses Russell of allowing her pit bull to become malnourished and underweight.

Russell is scheduled to appear in Franklin District Court on June 19.
