Couple Pleads Guilty To Daughter's Death

A Richmond couple accused of killing their infant daughter has plead guilty to the charges.

According to the Richmond Register Newspaper, Diana and William Dawes admitted to killing their seven-month-old daughter, Serenity, on June,30,2011.  

William Dawes plead guilty to murder and first-degree criminal abuse. Diana plead guilty to first-degree manslaughter and first-degree criminal abuse.

Commonwealth Attorney Jennifer Smith says the evidence shows that William is the one who assaulted the infant, and Diana did not report the abuse or get the child any medical attention.

The Attorney suggested that William serve 35 years in prison, and Diana 25 years.
