Couple Injured In Violent Home Invasion In Lily

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said a Lily couple was beaten with clubs and robbed of medicine and cell phones early Tuesday morning.
A couple was beaten with clubs and robbed during a violent home invasion early Tuesday morning, according to the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said two men armed with clubs and pistols jumped Caroline Jones, 53, outside her home in Lily shortly after midnight.

Investigators said once inside the home, the men beat Caroline and her husband, Claude David Jones, 52, of Dogwood Lane, with clubs. 

Investigators said the suspects also threatened the couple with guns.

Investigators said the suspects took some medication and cell phones and took off running.

The Jones' were treated at the scene for serious cuts and scratches.

The Sheriff's Office said one of the suspects was wearing a ski mask and the other had his face painted.  Investigators said both men were white.
