Six Kentucky counties have been chosen in a random drawing to undergo a post-election audit by the Attorney General's Office.
The counties are:
- Morgan
- Meade
- Marion
- Rowan
- Mason
- Clinton
The audits are required by law.
The counties are selected in a public drawing that must be done within 20-days of an election.
In each county, routine inquiries will include checking election forms and interviewing county officials.
The selection of the counties does not imply that irregularities are suspected.
