The Casey County Coroner said a man died after a collision last night.

State Police said it happened two miles north of Liberty on US 127 around 6:30 p.m.

According to troopers, Marvin Lee, 49, was heading south on US 127 when he crossed into the northbound lane and hit an oncoming car.

The coroner said the driver of that car, Michael Beal, 26, was dead at the scene.

Lee was flown to UK Hospital where he is in critical condition.

Police said neither driver was wearing a seatbelt.

They believe alcohol is a factor in the collision.
