Cooler With Light Snow Wednesday

Some scattered light rain and snow will be possilbe overnight into Wednesday morning. The afternoon will be cooler with mostly cloudy skies.
Midnight Update: Light rain showers have entered the western half of Kentucky and are moving east towards us. Most of the precipitation is rain for now, but should still switch to snow by morning.

Temperatures right now are near 40° across the area with Somerset coming in the coolest at 37°.

Meteorologist Michael Estime will have the latest on the scattered snow and our eventual warmer weather starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky.

Late tonight into Wednesday morning, a few scattered areas of light rain will move in. By the morning commute, we could see scattered light snow, but no accumulation is expected on the ground. We will start the day in the upper 20s.

By Wednesday afternoon, we will dry out with mostly cloudy skies. It will be cooler with highs in the mid 30s. Breezy winds gusting up to 20mph out of the west will make it feel even colder.

High pressure builds in for Thursday afternoon, making for a mostly sunny afternoon. We will start to warm back up with temperatures back into the mid 40s.

Rain could arrive as early as Thursday night.
