U.S. 127 Southbound is currently blocked in Mercer County beginning at the U.S. 68 intersection (Lexington Street) due to a truck carrying cooking oil which has leaked onto the highway.

Emergency teams are in the process of clean up at this time.

All traffic thru the city of Harrodsburg is being detoured around the by-pass until further notice.

Officials said the cleanup could take until 6:00 p.m. or later.
