The state warned drivers about a construction project that will affect traffic on part of KY 89 in Estill County.

Starting Tuesday, one lane will be closed between milepoints 15.5 and 16.0, or between Dry Ridge Road and KY 794/ Dry Branch Road.

The state said the closure was needed as crews work on a safety improvement project on Winchester Road.

The change will be in place for at least two weeks.

Drivers were reminded to follow the signs and electronic message boards along the highway.
