Firefighters in Stamford, Connecticut say a fire on Christmas Day killed a ten-year-old, twin seven-year-olds, and their grandparents. The children's mother tried to save all five, but couldn't, because of wall of flame that prevented their rescue.

The grandfather was Lomer Johnson, former head of security and safety at Louisville's Brown-Forman liquor company. While there, he was reportedly in charge of fire drills, among other things.
