A community gathered in Montgomery County earlier today to mourn the loss of a hometown hero.
The funeral for Army private Dustin Gross was held late Thursday morning.
The 19-year old Jeffersonville native was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan.
Thursday's funeral took place at Montgomery County High School, where Gross graduated from just a year ago.
