Construction at Commonwealth Stadium will take away 800 parking spots by the end of this month.

Even after the work is done in 2015, nearly 700 parking spaces will be permanently lost because of the project.

The stadium’s expansion and renovation project will begin before January 2014. Construction and staging fencing will go up over the next couple of weeks.

UK officials said employees and students who currently park at the stadium will have alternative parking options in the area.
