As high pressure arrives, precipitation will be very scarce over the next five days.  This will give the rivers and lakes a chance to recover from recent flooding.  Today and tomorrow will be chilly with highs in the lower 40s and finally some sunshine.  Our coldest weather so far this season will be here this weekend.  So far, Lexington has been down to 23 degrees this fall / early winter, but lows will be near 20 degrees on Friday night and Saturday night.  The next round of widespread precipitation will come on Tuesday and Wednesday with rain across most of the area and potentially a sleet pellet or two to the north.
