Coal severance tax money will mean scholarships for students from 9 Appalachian counties.
Governor Beshear announced the plan today.
It's $4 million, and it starts July 1st.
It only applies to some colleges and it's only for students from Bell, Floyd, Harlan, Johnson, Knott, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin and Pike counties.
