Kentucky Coal Production At Lowest Level in 48 Years

The Commonwealth's coal production is at it's lowest point since 1965.
     The state says coal production in Kentucky is at its lowest level since 1965.

     That's after four-thousand mining jobs were cut in eastern Kentucky last year.

     The industry has also seen more enforcement of federal mining laws, and it's competing with natural gas.
