Closure Scheduled For Manchester Street In Lexington

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a temporary closure is scheduled for Manchester Street in Lexington, Fayette County. 

The closure is necessary for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad Company to complete rehabilitation work on the railroad crossing.

Work will be performed:

 

  • Monday, February 11 through Thursday, February 14 – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Monday, February 18 through Thursday, February 21 – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

 

The location for the project will be the railroad tracks that are located over Manchester Street.  Flaggers will be in place on each side of the bridge to guide motorists.

Intermittent delays will be brief for the traveling public during the hours of work.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling near the work area.
