Veterans, family members and community leaders in Clark County celebrated the bravery and sacrifice of military service members Saturday.

This was part of their Armed Forces Day.

Winchester Mayor Ed Burtner said today was important because Clark County has a lot of native sons and daughters who are on active duty right now.

“We need to remember all of those individuals and recognize their sacrifice and the sacrifice of their families,” Burtner said.

The community is also putting on several events for Memorial Day.
