City To Begin 'Opt Out' Program

Lexington has come out with a program to help reduce waste.
If you have stacks of old newspapers, magazines, and phone books laying around, the city is giving you a chance to cut back.

Lexington has come up with a program so that you can opt out of getting junk mail, phone books, and phone calls. Through the program you can request to get the mail and calls stopped. The city says it can take up to six months to take effect.

You can find out more information about the program by visiting optoutwaste@lexingtonky.gov.
