City Of Georgetown To Give Back Pay To Firefighters

Scott Circuit Court approved a negotiated settlement between the City of Georgetown and firefighters in a dispute over wages that dates back to 2009, according to the Mayor.
Scott Circuit Court has approved a negotiated settlement between the City of Georgetown and firefighters over a pay dispute, according to Mayor Everette Varney.

In a news release, the Mayor said the City would promptly issue all checks for back wages in accordance with the agreement.

The City will give back pay to 59 current and former city firefighters in the settlement of a lawsuit that the firefighters first brought in 2009.
