A church community in Saylersville is celebrating a new beginning after their church was decimated by a tornado one year ago.

Saint Luke's Catholic Church broke ground Sunday on their new church.

Organizers say it's taken a year to clear the land and raise enough money to rebuild.

They say they're hoping to have construction complete in seven to eight months.
