A two-year-old girl is dead, after being struck by a vehicle in Trimble County.

Kentucky State Police say the accident occurred Thursday morning.

Police say the girl had been with her family at a yard sale in front of their home on Highway 421 North in Bedford.

The girl ran into the roadway and was hit by a vehicle driven by Ryan Jones, 21, of North Carolina.

Trimble County Deputy Coroner Lee Congleton pronounced the girl dead at the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled Friday.
