Child Bitten By Dog Continues To Recover

A young Lexington boy who was bitten in the face several times by a Pit Bull, continues to recover.

Animal Control said it happened Tuesday on Maryland Avenue.

Investigators said after the attack, the dog ran away.

Animal Control said the dog was identified on Wednesday after it was found suffering from heat exhaustion.

Investigators said the dog had to be euthanized for medical reasons.

Investigators said they are still looking for the dog's owner and that charges are possible.
