More than 1,000 residents in Jefferson County have been told to leave their homes because of a chemical fire burning there.
The fire broke out Wednesday at the site of a train derailment.
Authorities said workers using a cutting torch or welder to separate rail cars from Monday’s derailment sparked the fire.
Officials said residents have been told to leave due to burning chemicals.
Residents just outside of the evacuation zone have been told to stay indoors.
Three workers were hurt in the fire, two critically and one seriously.
The burning rail car is close to other derailed tankers carrying another dangerous chemical.
