People who live or work downtown Lexington should prepare for upcoming blasting work on the CentrePointe project.

Crews said a test blast was planned for Saturday, March 8th at 10:00 a.m.

There will also be one, daily blast around 10:00 a.m. starting on Monday, March 17th.

The blasts will be done for five or six days.

But project managers said they would be put on hold during the Boys' Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament, March 19th through March 23rd at Rupp Arena.

During the blasts, traffic will be stopped around the CentrePointe block.
