Lexington police is working to identify and locate the suspect connected to the robbery of the Versailles Road branch of Central Bank.

Police say on Monday afternoon, officers were dispatched to Central Bank located at 2347 Versailles Road in reference to the robbery.

Upon arrival, witnesses told officers that a male, black suspect approached a teller and made a verbal demand for cash.  The teller complied and the suspect took off.

The suspect is described as a black male, with a light goatee.  He was last seen wearing a red Polo style shirt with thin white stripes, khaki pants and a blue ball cap with a red bill.  The ball cap had a St. Louis Cardinal emblem on the front.

Police say this robbery shares similarities to the May 25, 2012 robbery of PNC located at 2309 Woodhill Drive.

If you have any information, call Lexington police.
