Kentucky is 88-20 all time against Mississippi State.  UK's won 10 of the last 12 and four straight over the Bulldogs.

So it's fair to say the Cats have had the Dogs number not just of late, but forever.

In fact, Kentucky opened up as an 18.5 point favorite over State for Wednesday night's game.

A team UK's defeated 44 of 49 times in Lexington.

But since 2001, 12 of 14 games between the two have been decided by nine points or fewer.

Just a week ago, Coach Cal and company lost Nerlens Noel.  The team lost two straight on the road at Florida and Tennessee.

Now the Cats are trying to end the season on their longest win streak of the year.

If the UK wins out, it'll be six straight victories.

But this young team has to keep improving if they don't want to go back to being beaten up.

And it starts with the Bulldogs.

More on the Cats rising from the dead after being six-feet-under just a week ago in the video.
