Casey County Man Dies After Falling On Own Knife

Detectives in Casey County are investigating the death of 40-year-old Barry R. Wilson, of Liberty.

On Saturday just after 6PM Casey County dispatch called in reference to a deceased male that was found in the yard of his residence on KY 501 south. 

The investigation showed Wilson had been walking down an embankment, carrying a potted marijuana plant and a knife, when he tried to cross a fence and tripped, falling on the knife and stabbing himself in the upper left chest. 

Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Casey County Coroner.  An autopsy will be performed and no foul play is expected.  The case remains under investigation.
