Liberty, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating the deaths of 52-year-old Judith Duncil and 61-year-old George Merrick, both of Gravel Switch, KY.

Post 15 received a call from Casey County dispatch at 11:46 PM on Friday night, March 15th, reporting that they had received a call of shots fired at a residence on Little South Road in Gravel Switch.  Upon arrival, investigators discovered the bodies of the deceased lying on the porch of the residence.

Duncil and Merrick were dating and Duncil was living at the residence when Merrick arrived looking for her.  A verbal argument ensued which led to Merrick retrieving a rifle from his truck.  Merrick allegedly shot Duncil before turning the weapon on himself.  Detectives continue to  investigate.
