Update:

Jessica Danielle Casebolt was crowned Miss Kentucky 2012 on July 14 in Lexington.

Casebolt won $12,000 in scholarships on Saturday night. A total of $38,000 in cash scholarships were awarded at the Miss Kentucky Pageant this year.

The 1st runner-up was Olivia Henken; 2nd runner-up was Jefra Bland; 3rd runner-up was Annie Franklin and 4th runner-up was Ashley Ferry.

Miss Kentucky 2012 will promote the "Kentucky Proud" program for the Kentucky Department of Agriculture this year.

Casebolt's personal platform is "Heart Health Awareness."

Jessica Danielle Casebolt is crowned Miss Kentucky 2012.

The pageant was held at Singletary Center for the Arts on UK’s campus.

19-year-old Casebolt is from Pikeville and held the local title, Miss Goldenrod.

She is a political science major at Georgetown College.

Miss Kentucky contestants competed in five areas of competition: interview, talent, swimsuit, evening gown and on-stage question.

Casebolt beat out 30 other competitors for the title.

This January, she will compete for Miss America 2013.
