"Don't you think it's mean? What's to be gained by putting that in there?" asks Jim Pope.

"I think it's terrible," says Shaun Meza.

Some Solid Blue Fans are fuming after seeing Joel Pett's cartoon in the Lexington Herald-Leader Tuesday that pokes fun at Kentucky Basketball Coach John Calipari.

"If they had a brain, they'd know this is where their bread is buttered.  I thought it was mean spirited an unnecessary and if I lived here, I'd cancel my subscription," explains Pope.

And that's apparently what many people are doing, according to the comments section under this cartoon on the Lexington Herald-Leader's website, kentucky.com.

One person writes, "this cartoon is so funny I just cancelled my subscription to LHL."

Another says, "I'm going to subscribe to the Herald Leader just so I can call and cancel."

Someone else comments, "Just got off the phone. It felt good to cancel my subscription."

The angry fans far outnumber those in favor of the cartoon.

One supporter says, "Bravo, Joel! Love it! Glad someone down in the Bluegrass State is willing to take a jab at Caesar."

Pett defends his drawing and says it's a shame if people take it out on the newspaper.

"I mean, I really hare for people to take it out on the entire newspaper.  One cartoon, that they don't like or even if they hated all of them.  There's still another 60 pages in the thing and they say, 'we're never buying your paper again and I'm going to boycott the advertising.'  I don't think very many people would actually do that because it would take work," says Pett.

But, some Solid Blue fans still say it's unnecessary.

"Give him a break.  He did win a National Championship for us.  So, I mean why put that in there?" asks Daniel Rogers.

"Give the guy a break, you know, he brought a National Championship here.  I don't see why they would even bother him, they should praise him," says Meza.

So it's your turn to be the judge.  Is it all in good fun or does it go too far?
