According to police, an overnight fire has left a central Kentucky police chief and his family with nothing.
According to police, an overnight fire has left a central Kentucky police chief and his family with nothing.

Carlisle Police Chief Darrell Layne's Baldhill Road home, and everything inside, were a total loss.

The Chief and his family were able to get out safely.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.

The Carlisle Police Department has started collecting clothing and household essentials for Layne and his family.
