A car slammed into a childcare center early Monday morning in Lexington.
Firefighters said the driver lost control of his car at 1:42 a.m. and struck the West Lexington Early Childhood Development Center on Cambridge Drive.
The center is run by the Community Action Council.
The damage was significant enough that firefighters put up a "condemned" sign on the building and said no one will be allowed inside until further notice.
ABC 36 spoke to the driver of the vehicle who said the gas pedal stuck, making him lose control.
He suffered a bump on the head.
Code enforcement will inspect the damage to the building later Monday.
