The Cats played dodgeball to loosen up before the big game against Vanderbilt.

It was yet another one of Cal's tricks to try and get his team to respond.  Another attempt at getting more smiles on the court and relieving some of the pressure on the shoulders of young men.

And it appeared to work, at least to some degree, as the Cats pulled ahead by 14 points against Vandy on Wednesday night.  The Dores did cut it to just two, but UK had the toughness to take a victory at home.

So what's next for the Cats to get ready for Missouri on Saturday?  How much fun did the guys have pegging Cal on the court and what's life like now with Coach being a confidence builder of late?

The guys were down after two road losses, especially after the drubbing they took at Tennessee.  Willie Cauley-Stein stayed in his room and watched Netflix for hours on end.  The team was depressed.  Until dodgeball of course.  So maybe there's a method to the madness.  Maybe Cal does have a magic wand and maybe, just maybe, he'll be able to figure out what this team needs the rest of the way.

More in the video.
