Coach Cal thought Marquis Teague was coming back last season.

His team would have been set.  Point guard problems solved.

But Teague put his name in the 2012 NBA draft.  That and missing on Alex Oriakhi hit the Cats hard.

Only 8 guys on scholarship...and at multiple points in the season, more huge blows dealt UK's way.

Ryan Harrow was out sick early, Nerlens Noel of course tore his ACL at Florida...all culminating in the NIT loss to Robert Morris.

Those mixed with other young guys not getting to sit when needed really made Cal reflect on the 2012-13 season as a lesson learned.

Hear from Cal in the video.
