John Calipari joked on Sunday that Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo texted him wanting Coach Cal to forfeit Tuesday night's game in Chicago since Cal thinks he has such a young team with little chance of winning.

Cal responded by texting Izzo back letting him know they will forfeit and the head Spartan could just go shopping all day.

All jokes aside, since UK will in fact be playing State, Cal and Izzo have only played once, but have grown to watch and learn from one another from afar, and respect the other a great deal.

A nice reminder that basketball isn't life.

Hear from Cal on his relationship with Izzo in the video.
