Covington Holmes Boys Basketball Team remains the only undefeated boys basketball team in Kentucky after tonight’s win against Highland at home.

“It's every coaches dream to win as many as you can and be undefeated for the regular season,” Head Coach Jason Booher said. “We're the last team standing in the state that hasn't lost a game yet.”

Part of their game tonight was filmed tonight for part of a documentary that features the survivors of the 1988 Carrollton Bus Crash. The bus crash is our country’s worst drunk driving accident, where 27 people were killed.

Booher is a survivor of that accident. He planned a special night for the camera crew at the game by asking everyone to wear white in honor of the 1988 Bus Crash victims.

“There are two things I'm passionate about,” Booher said. “One of them is coaching basketball and working with young people. The second thing is making a positive out of the worst drinking driving crash in history.”

So tonight, both teams warmed up in white t-shirts and their fans all wore white too. Three survivors from the bus crash were honored before tip off and were honorary coaches during the game.

The documentary will be released shortly before the 25th Anniversary of the crash that happened on May 14, 1988.
