Burglary And Vandalism To Transportation Cabinet

State Transportation workers arrived Tuesday morning to broken glass and the smell of gasoline.
State Transportation Cabinet workers on New Circle Road arrive Tuesday morning to broken glass and the smell of gasoline.
Dan Knight, the District 7 Equipment Supervisor, says they had 11 vehicles that had theft and vandalism and 3 that had holes drilled in the fuel tanks.
He says that 3 of those vehicles belong to Waste Management but were parked on the Transportation Cabinet's lot.
Knight estimates the damage to be near $3,000.

He says about 2 weeks ago, a very similar situation occurred at the location on Kearney Road, "The way they broke windows out, drilled holes in fuel tanks, took tools, exact same things that happened here."
Knight says they plan on tightening up security and beefing up patrols.
