A burglar targeted a home near UK’s campus early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. at a home on Aylesford Place.

Police said a woman living there told them she woke up to find a masked man going through things in her bedroom.

She said when he realized she was awake, he ran out.

Police said the woman then stepped out of her window and onto the home’s roof to call 911.

Three other people inside the home slept through the incident, according to police.

Police said the burglar took a laptop and a purse.

They said he came in and left through an unsecured back door.

No arrests have been made.
