The Lexington Fire Department said a brownout today caused a small service delay.

A train engine caught on fire on the tracks behind the Fayette Mall.

Firefighters said engine 15, which is just a few yards from the site of that fire, was out of service due to a lack of staffing.

The crew from engine 20, which is a few miles away, responded to the fire instead.

No one was hurt and firefighters said no one at the mall was in any danger.

They said the fire ignited because of a mechanical failure.
