Brothers Arrested After Toddler Found On Laurel Co. Road

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said two brothers were arrested Wednesday after a two-year-old girl was found wandering along the road.
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said two brothers were arrested Wednesday after a two-year-old girl was found wandering along a road.

Deputies were called to Keavy Road/ KY 363, south of London, on complaints that a toddler was almost hit by cars that were passing by.

Deputies said they later learned that the child had been left in the care of the mother's boyfriend while the mom went to work.

Investigators said the boyfriend's brother was home sleeping and was later left to care for the toddler.

Deputies said the child had reportedly left the house through an open door and wandered into traffic.

The Sheriff's Office said Nathan Wagoner, 34, London, and Austin Wagoner, 18, London, were charged with endangering the welfare of a minor.

Social Services was called, and the child was released to her mom.
