Broadway Christian Church Could Pay $150,000 for Pipe Burst

The pastor of Broadway Christian Church in Lexington said the tiles in a fourth floor ceiling were filled with so much water after a pipe burst, they started to fall "like cakes."

That wasn't the only area affected.

He said the floors and maybe the walls will have to be ripped out and replaced, from the top to the bottom floors.

Despite the construction, the pastor says the church is big enough for the congregation to continue with their activities and services, as the water didn't impact the sanctuary.

Crews will be in place on Thursday to put a scanning machine to the church's walls. If they find moisture inside, the pastor said cleanup will cost over $150,000.
