Brief Manhunt In Lexington Leads To Narcotics Arrest

Lexington Police said what began as a traffic stop led to a brief manhunt and eventual arrest of Anthony Caldwell, 33, who was charged with trafficking narcotics.
What began as a traffic stop led to a brief manhunt and eventual narcotics arrest in Lexington on Sunday.

Lexington Police said Anthony Caldwell, 33, got out of his car and ran while officers tried to pull him over near Sixth Street and Ohio around 11:30 a.m.

That led to a brief manhunt.  Caldwell was eventually captured about an hour later in the backyard of a home on Pemberton.

Police said Caldwell is charged with Trafficking in Narcotics and Fleeing and Evading Police.

Investigators said Caldwell was not carrying any weapons.

He's in jail in Lexington.
